Community Corner is an independent pre-school based at the heart of our community,
on the site of St Anne's Primary School, serving both the local and the wider community.
Community Corner was established over 30 years ago and we opened at our current location
in a self-contained unit in September 2007.
Operating Monday to Friday our sessions are as follows:
Mornings 9am - 12noon, Afternoons 12noon - 3pm and Full days 9am - 3pm.
We provide funded sessions (15 hours free) for 3 & 4yr olds and for qualifying 2yr
olds and we offer free taster sessions to enable you to make an informed choice for
your child's care & education.
We are a friendly, welcoming and inclusive setting with a firm commitment to providing
quality care and education for all children. We have developed a warm & homely environment
where your child can feel safe & belong, and you can feel confident that we will
work with you all the way to help the transition from home to pre-school flow as
seamlessly as possible.

Our spacious and well equipped premises provides a wealth of play and learning opportunities
both indoors and outdoors. Your children are at the heart of everything we do, they
can play & explore following their own interests, or they can join with other children
and/or adults to play, work and learn together and you can feel confident that your
child is safe, happy and cared for due to our high ratio of adults to children.
At our last Ofsted Inspection we were rated 'Outstanding' and our report states:
"Children make outstanding progress in their learning and development. They are highly

The Staff Team:
Through careful selection we have built a long-term strongly motivated team of very
experienced, professional, and highly qualified practitioners. Our staff members
are passionate about childcare, it's in their hearts.
We have 10 permanent members of staff, which enables us to cover any absences from
within our own team ensuring continuity of care and quality.
8 of our staff team hold formal childcare qualifications ranging through Early Years
Professional Status, Early Years Degree, Early Years Foundation Degree, Foundation
Degree in Learning Support and a range of Level 3 Childcare and Education Certificates
& Diploma's. One member of staff is currently undertaking a Level 2 apprenticeship
in Childcare & Education.
In addition, all staff members have attended Early Years Training and hold certificates
ranging from Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
to 'Every Child a Talker (ECaT), Letters & Sounds, Maths and Science and all staff
continue to update their knowledge, skills & good practice through attending further
